External Stakeholder Council

The External Stakeholder Council of our university’s Department of Biomedical Engineering is an advisory body composed of representatives with expertise in the fields of health technologies, biomaterial development, medical device design, and clinical applications.

The Council reflects a broad network of stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, medical device manufacturers, public institutions, accredited laboratories, our alumni, clinicians, civil society organizations, and national and international partners.

The primary objective of this council is to contribute to the development of biomedical engineering education, research, and societal contribution activities in a manner aligned with the sector’s current needs.

Our board members:

  • Directly contribute to updating the curriculum to incorporate innovations in health technologies,

  • Support internship, mentorship, and career development opportunities for our students in clinical, R&D, and production processes,

  • Ensure that our research projects align with the priorities of the medical industry and enhance their commercialization potential,

  • Lead the development of sustainable, ethical, and people-centered biomedical solutions,

  • It contributes to the widespread adoption of interdisciplinary innovative practices by strengthening collaboration among academia, industry, and clinical settings.

The expertise and experience of our External Stakeholder Council members play a crucial role in shaping our department’s strategic goals and in nurturing our students to become innovative and responsible professionals who can effectively apply their engineering knowledge in the healthcare field.
